CAIRO – 4 November 2017: The theatrical play “Henna” will be staged at the Jesuit Cultural Center in Alexandria on November 23 and November 24.

The Bait Hawadet Alexandria [Alexandria House of Tales] theatrical troupe will be performing the play.

Directed by Horia Al Dakak, the show revolves around a group of girls celebrating their friend’s henna night [a bride’s Middle Eastern bachelorette party], each girl narrates her story during the celebration.

Hawadet theatrical troupe was founded after a workshop called “Haki” [Narration] in 2014, supervised by Dakak.

Dakak has directed various theatrical plays such as the children’s play “Nored Hayah” [We Want Life], “Cocktail” and “Matlob Anesa” [Single Woman Wanted].

Her plays were performed at many venues such as Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Jesuit Cultural Center and Vibe.
