'Talat Dakat' crew unveil ambitions about their recent project

CAIRO - 4November 2017: "Talat Dakat" [Three Beats] song led a seminar to unveil details of this new soundtrack on Wednesday. The new song is a collaboration between renowned Egyptian actress Youssra, singer and composer Abu, and songwriter Tamer Habib.

Managing to gather 15 million views, the song was also a success among its creators such as Youssra who praised the massive feedback received after its release.
"Social Media has a great influence on promoting the songs between youth, although it may has negative impact on privacy," Youssra said.

Habib also added that the song reached different Egyptian social classes, saying “you can hear the song wither in a car, bus, cafe, or homes."

She emphasized that it added positive vibes to the wonderful atmosphere of the first El Gouna Film Festival (GFF).

Abu has stated that that he is a big fan for Youssra, and they met before on many occasions, mentioning that she accepted to participate in recording the song after he performed a part of it himself.

He added, Youssra is one of the greatest actresses in the history of Egypt, and her character symbolizes the funny positive atmosphere of such an interesting event as GFF.

Being friends and colleagues who meet everyday together and act spontaneously was the essence of the music video’s success, according to Tamer Habib. "We were happy while recording, and singing without thinking of success," Youssra commented.

“The enjoyable sounds of the music and the attractive simple lyrics helped us finish the song smoothly and the lyrics was written in only couple of hours”, Habib added.

He explained that it they all cooperated to write each lyrics verse together. Abu reviled that he is working on a new album called "Shabrat" [Syrup], he intends to launch it through individual single tracks.

"Due to internet and globalization, launching and marketing music becomes easier, so there is no need to wait for a fixed Cassatt tab or CD," Abu confirmed.

He further asserted while concluding the seminar that he is a fan of music writers and lyricist such as Bob Dylan and other Arab music writers such as Sayed Mikawi, saying "My music is almost a combination between western and oriental musical moods."

“Talat Dakkat” ranked the 1st trending video on YouTube in only five days. When Naguib Sawiris heard the song, he insisted on shooting a video clip for it in its birthplace of El Gouna, advising people in different moods to listen to the song.

In this song, Abu is the singer, lyricist and composer, while Mariam Abou Ouf is the director. “Talat Dakkat” remarks the launching of Abu’s artistic path, as well as getting Youssra back to singing.
