CAIRO – 30 October 2017: Swiss folkloric band SOAS Ceilidh will be leading an English and Irish folk music night at Darb 1718 on November 11. The band will be performing alongside the Egyptian band Bahgaga as part the “MazzikaXElsat7” monthly program.

SOAS Ceilidh will allow the audience to join them on stage to dance.

The band aims to restore the rhythmic sounds of traditional British life.

Its Cairo concert is a part of SOAS Ceilidh’s 2017 world tour. They have recently performed in France, Turkey, Italy and Germany.

Bahgaga is an Egyptian band that revives classic comedy monologues, in addition to performing many classic monologues from famous actor Mahmoud Shokoko.

Carrying a different performance style, the band has performed in different venues such as El Sawy Culture Wheel.

It consists of five singers: Asma Abu El Yiazeed, Raghda Galal, Samar Galal, Nehal Kamal and Weam Essam.
