CAIRO – 19 October 2017: The international ballet performance “La Traviata” will stage at Cairo Opera House on October 23.

The Cairo Opera Ballet, Cairo Opera Choir and Cairo Opera Orchestra will all cooperate together in the performance.

The Choir master is Aldo Magnato, choreographer is Erminia Kamel and Iman Moustafa is the artistic supervisor.

The show will be conducted by David Crescenzi and directed by Abdalla Saad.
“La Traviata” [The Fallen Woman] is based on “La Dame aux camellias” novel by Alexandre Dumas, fils.

It was composed by Giuseppe Verdi and written by Francesco Maria Piave.
It narrates a story of a woman who gets bored with life, so she behaves in an unacceptable manner till she finds her true love.

She sacrifices her life to keep her love safe. She lived and died for love.

“La Traviata” is one amongst the top ten classic operas around the world. It was one of the earliest international ballet shows performed on Cairo Opera House stage.
