‘1,000 Times Good Night’ to screen at Film Critics Association

CAIRO – 11 October 2017: The Irish American drama "1,000 Times Good Night” will screen at the Egyptian Film Critics Association on October 15.

A discussion headed by the Egyptian film critic Safaa al-Leithy will follow the film screening.

The film represents the story of a war photographer called Rebecca. She leaves her family for a long time to live a dangerous life led by her passion for her work. Rebecca falls under emotional stress, and needs to choose either her work or her family.

"1,000 Times Good Night" is directed Erik Poppe, and is co-written by Erik Poppe and Harald Rosenløw Eeg. Juliette Binoche, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Lauryn Canny star in the film.

In 2013, the film was premiered for the first time in Montreal World Film Festival.

Participating in many prestigious cinema acts, the movie won Best Film in Amanda Awards in 2014, and Founder’s Award as Best Feature in Chicago International Film Festival.
