CAIRO – 11 October 2017: October 11 marks the death anniversary of the iconic French singer Edith Piaf; who was born on December 19, and died on October 11.

Her singing reflected a deep sense of sorrow and sadness due to the tragic life she had, as she spent a part of her childhood on the streets, and sang to passersby to earn her living.

She also suffered from depression due to the death of both her son and lover.
