CAIRO - 9 October 2017: Award-winning Hungarian film “It's Not the Time of My Life” (Ernelláék Farkaséknál) will be screened as part of the “New Hungarian Cinema” series at the Balassi Institute Cairo on Wednesday, October 11.

Directed by Szabolcs Hajdú, “It’s Not the Time of My Life” was released in 2016. The film is about a family who attempts to seek a better life and decides to migrate out of their homeland.

“It’s Not the Time of My Life” examines a conflict between two families who live in completely different circumstances and how they try to resolve their issues in order to live in real harmony.

The film received several nominations and awards, including the Audience Award at Jameson CineFest - Miskolc International Film Festival in 2016 and the Best Actor and Crystal Globe at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2016.

The director and actor, Hajdú, is mostly known for his iconic films “Bibliothèque Pascal”, “White Palms” and “It's Not the Time of My Life”.

Hajdú has been awarded various awards, including the Cinema Prize for Feature Film at Avanca Film Festival in 2005, Best Actor in Gijón International Film Festival in 1994, Film Critics Awards at the Hungarian Film Critics Awards in 2002, and the Golden Reel Award in Tiburon International Film Festival in 2011.
