Film screening Wonder Woman at Yellow Umbrella

CAIRO – 30 September 2017: The Yellow Umbrella club in Ma`Adi Al Khabiri, Al Qahirah, Egypt will be screening this summer’s superhero blockbuster “Wonder Woman” on Monday, October 2, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m..

The film, starring Israeli-actress Gal Godot, has attracted some controversy in the Arab world, having been temporarily

banned

in Tunisia back in June, following complaints about the lead actress’s involvement with the Israeli military and her outspoken support for them. Lebanon, Jordan and Qatar also banned the movie, though Jordan has repeatedly lifted the ban allowing its release.

Wonder Woman proved to a huge hit around the rest of the world, grossing around $2,147,483,647 worldwide. Plans for a

sequel

are already underway.
