Beyonce sings in Spanish to support Hurricane charities

CAIRO – 29 September 2017: Superstar singer Beyonce has stepped in to help aid those countries hit by the wave of Hurricanes this year by participating in J Balvin and Willy William’s remix of ‘Mi Gente.’



Proceeds from the video will be donated to charity efforts for the disasters affecting the U.S., Puerto Rico, the Caribbeans and Mexico. According to the BBC, the remix attracted well over 300,000 views within just half an hour. On her official Instagram page, Beyonces urges her follows to visit her official website, where she links to donation pages that can aid in alleviating the suffering of those hit by the wave of natural disasters this year.

As the lyrics and video show, the song’s message of unity, overcoming suffering and hardship by coming together as one to help each other. Beyonce directly addresses the afflicted countries in the remix’s lyrics; "Lift up your people/From Texas to Puerto Rico/ Dem islands to Mexico."
