CAIRO – 27 September 2017: The global travelling art exhibition, “Letters to Andy Warhol,” will be visiting the Middle East for the first time from December 6 to December 18, at Dubai.

The Andy Warhol Museum in partnership with Cadillac Middle East will be bringing a collection of Warhol’s work to the UAE. The focus of the exhibition is less a showcase of Warhol’s body of work and more an immersive experience of the artist’s essence, with Cadillac’s being the theme of each work featured.

In total, five artworks across various mediums are the subject of the exhibit, alongside five letters from influential figures such as Yves Saint Laurent, and a mutual friend of Warhol and Truman Capote, Mick Jagger.

The exhibit also features artwork by contemporary artists who have been greatly influenced by Warhol’s body of work, such as Brian Atwood, Aimee Mullins, David LaChapelle, Sienna Miller and many more.

“Letters to Andy Warhol” observes the personal life of one of the modern era’s most famous artists and his intimate connections.
