Cairo Opera House gears up for ballet season

CAIRO - 19 September 2017: Cairo Opera House is kicking off their opera and ballet season with a special performance by the internationally renowned Romanian artist Stephan Pop on September 21.

The opening gala will be held under the supervision of Iman Mustafa and will be inaugurated by Pop, accompanied by the Cairo Opera Ballet and the Cairo Opera Orchestra as well as a handful of other solo artists including Mona Rafla, Rasha Talaat, Ingy Mohsen, Jolie Faizy, Amr Medhat, Moustafa Mohamed, Ezzat Ghanem and Reda El Wakil.

The orchestra will be conducted by Italian David Crescenzi and Coral Akabila Maya Gefinaria

The program includes a selection of the most famous classical operas written by famous musicians such as “La Gioconda” of Ponchielli, “Il Trovatore” of Verdi, “L’elisir d’amore” for Donizetti, “Samson et Dalila” for Saint-Saens, and “Mefistofele” for Boito.

Tickets range from LE 50 to LE 100 ($2.83 - $5.667).
