Brazilian film Muito Romântico to screen at Zawya on Sunday

CAIRO- 16 September- 2017: The Brazilian film "Muito Romântico’’ (Very Romantic) will be screened on Zawya cinema on Sunday as part of Sunday screenings that Zawya Cinema presents weekly.

The film revolves around Melissa and Gustavo who went on cargo ship to cross the Atlantic Ocean. The ship took them to Berlin, to start making friends and exercising their hobbies like making films and playing music. Then suddenly a cosmic portal is opened in front of them to explore time, space and what is beyond them.

Directed by Melissa Dullius and Gustavo Jahn, The fantasy/ drama film also stars Gustavo Jahn and Melissa Dullius, according to the event’s official page.

The film has won the Grand Prix award and was nominated for another Grand Prix for Film on Art International Competition during the T-Mobile New Horizons International Film Festival, Poland in 2016.

Zawya was established in 2014 by Misr international films (MIF) as the first art-house cinema in Egypt, located in downtown Cairo’s Odeon cinema, according to Zawya’s official Facebook page.

Zawya’s program focuses on local independent films to encourage and promote the work of young Egyptian and Arab filmmakers. Zawya has screened a diverse range of films from different parts of the world including short films, documentaries, features, and experimental works, according to their website.
