CAIRO – 9 September 2017: Egyptian film “Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim” [Ali Me'za and Ibrahim] will be shown on September 14 at Cima.

The film screening will be followed by an open discussion with Sherief El Bendary, the director of the film.

The film critic Ahmed Shawky will head the discussion.

“Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim” was written by Ibrahim El Batout and directed by Sherief El Bendary.

It stars Ali Sobhy, Nahed El Sebai, Ahmed Magdy and Salwa Mohamed Ali.

The movie revolves around Ali, who loves a goat and talks to it. Many people criticize him for it, until his mother forces him to go to a psychological and spiritual healer, where he meets Ibrahim.

Ibrahim suffers from depression and listens to sounds from another world, and he can't understand what those messages mean.

Together they embark on a journey of self discovery and friendship through Egypt.

The film participated in the Dubai International Film Festival and was awarded the Muhr Award for Best Actor.
