CAIRO – 2 September 2017: In a 48-hour challenge Egyptian director Ghada Ali managed to create her ‘The New Mad Hatter Story’ film. Not only so, but her film is also to win best costumes in the 48 Hours Film Project’s competition in Egypt 2016.

An international round in 2017 is waiting for the movie to participate in Silicon Valley African Film in California, Jesuit Film Festival in Egypt and the Real time International Film Festival in Nigeria.

The short movie which is directed, edited and produced by Ali, story by Ola El Mallah, is inspired by Alice in Wonderland, only this time the mad hatter finds himself captive in one of the houses in a local area of Egypt. Will he manage to escape and find Alice? The movie may provide an answer.
