'Ali the goat and Ibrahim' to be screened in the Arab Festival

CAIRO – 20 August 2017: The Egyptian movie "Ali the goat and Ibrahim" will be screened at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 20 at the 7th session of the Arab Film Festival in Amman.

The Festival to kick off August 20 under the auspices of the Jordanian Minister of Tourism Lina Annab and will last to August 26. A symposium discussing the movie with its director Sharif al-bandari will take place after the screening.

‘’Ali the goat and Ibrahim’’ revolves around Ali who is a humble Egyptian youth who is in love with a goat named Nada. The movie shows clearly how Ali treats this goat as his girlfriend. Ali's mother takes him to a spiritual healer who ordered Ali to throw a stone into each of the Nile, the Mediterranean, and the Red Sea in order to cure him from his love to Nada.

Ali met at the healer another Egyptian youth, Ibrahim. Ibrahim is a sound engineer who suffers from hearing high voices. Both of them accompanied each other since then in a journey to find inner peace. The movie is starring Aly Sobhy, Ahmed Magdy and Salwa Mohamed Aly.
