CAIRO - 20 August 2017: The experimental music band, Procession towards the Unknown Project will perform a live show at 3elbt Alwan on Tuesday, August 22.

The Procession towards the Unknown Project will feature live performance of music they will create 'spur of the moment'. Their music consists of abstract contemplations about the universe such as "What if the moon was just like an egg shell, what would exist inside it?" This is the theme of their show. They will also collaborate with an artist who, prompted by contemplation of the same idea, will perform 'spur of the moment'."We are heading towards the unknown, it is a discovery, there is sometimes a concept that we are exploring, but we have nothing prepared ever," Sayed shared.

Founded in 2012 by their lead singer Sammy Sayed, the band consists of Omar Abou Doma, Sherif Elias, and Ahmad Kubarra. All their music is based on improvising one recording take which is the main idea for the band. " It is about the confidence that we can create something together, all music back in the old days was based on improvisation before there were any rules or something that is already made to be performed as a tune," Sayed continued," the sound that comes out is merely an expression of that contemplation and that concept."
