CAIRO- 14 August 2017: The opening of Ro’ya (Vision) Cinema Forum for Youths will take place on 14 August at 7 pm in the Tharwat Okasha Center. The forum will last until 16 August, and will feature movies from the governorates of Minya, Fayoum and Sohag in their respective cultural palaces.

The awards for the winning movies will be announced during the closing ceremony of the Forum. The winning directors will have their movies produced, funded by the National Cinema Center.

The Forum’s judging panel consists of Khaled Abdel Gelil (head of the panel), the cinema critic Essam Zakaria, the director Amir Ramsis and the montage specialist Manar Hosny. The Forum will see 27 films compete in the main competition for just three awards.

The first award is for the best short movie (shorter than 10 minutes), the second award is for movies shorter than 30 minutes, and the third award is for a length greater than 30 minutes.
