CAIRO- 14 August 2017: The Sufi troupe El Hadra will perform a concert on Thursday, August 14, at the 26th Citadel Festival for Music and Singing, organized by the Cairo Opera House, at 8 pm.

Nour Nageh, an artist and Sufi devotee, founded El Hadra troupe two years ago.
With oud, drums and powerful voices, El Hadra had started out its performances of Zikr and Hadra at El-Raba Cultural Center in Islamic Cairo, reflecting the whole spiritual experience from mosque to theater. El Hadra’s members belong to various Sufi orders, not one specific order. It derived its name from the word “Hodor”, which means "presence". It refers to Sufi chanters who recite Quran and praise Allah and the Prophet Mohammed.

The Citadel Salah El Din Festival organized by Cairo Opera House has launched, showcasing multi-disciplinary performances starting August 12 and ending August 25.

The festival will also feature classical performances by Rola Zaki and Amr Yehia and will be conducted by Maestro Mohamed Saad Basha, with music by Nesma Abdel Aziz, Tunisian artists Ghalia bin Ali and Mohamed Mohsen, and renowned Egyptian singer Medhat Saleh, among others.
