CAIRO – 7 August 2017: The Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities will be developing heritage areas in Materya district, Cairo, according the ministry’s released statement on Monday.

The district is comprised of several historical sites and heritage that dates back to old Egyptian eras that require maintenance, according to Mohamed Abdel Latif assistant for the Antiquities Ministry for Historical Sites.

He also added, within the released statement, that the development plan involves defining problems for the area and work on renovating these issues.

Some of the antiquities located in the district of Materya involved carvings and artifacts that were transferred to storages in museums.
