CAIRO – 26 July 2017: Pulitzer Prize-winning Playwright Tony Kushner is currently writing a play about current USA President Donald Trump. Kushner had previously worked on Angels in America, a seven play focusing on life under 1980's America during the AIDs epidemic and Regan administration.

The play went on to be adapted into a television series by the same name in 2003, which won multiple Emmy and Golden Globe awards. Kushner also wrote the screenplay for Spielberg's 'Lincoln,' which one multiple Oscars.

As Huffington Post reports his interview with The Daily Beast, the play is still in the very early stages, with Kushner saying he is slow to write and expecting it to be done after Trump's term in office. It'll be set two years prior to his election. Given that he'll be writing about Trump for a while, just what does Kushner think of the current President?
"I think he is seriously mentally ill, and the fact that he is in the White House is very frightening."
