U.S. dollar averaged below LE 18, down for second day in row

CAIRO – 4 July 2017: The U.S. dollar exchange rate slightly declined against the Egyptian pound in Tuesday banking transactions, to continue the trend started Monday when the foreign currency fell for the first time in four months.

It recorded an average of LE 17.89 for buying and LE 17.99 for selling, less than an average of LE 18.038 and sold at LE 18.138, down from LE 18.043 recorded Monday.
At the National Bank of Egypt, the dollar exchange recorded an average buying rate of LE 17.84 and sold at LE 17.86, down from dollar exchange rate of LE 17.89 for buying and LE 17.99 Monday.

The dollar exchange also slumped at the Commercial International Bank (CIB), standing at LE 17.87 for buying and LE 17.97 for selling, compared to LE 17.90 for buying and LE 18 for selling in the previous day.

It also went down to LE 17.87 for buying and LE 17.95 for selling in Banque Misr, and to LE 17.86 for buying and LE 17.95 for selling at Banque du Caire, down from LE 17.95 for buying and LE 18.05 for selling Monday.
