The new project will be built on one million square meters, comprising of 200 textile factories, and is awaiting construction approval from President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

Kabil also announced recent developments in Textile City in the Minya governorate, mentioning that the lands have not been appointed to the project yet because the lands belong to the Investment Ministry not the Trade and Industry Ministry.

The Trade and Industry Ministry has been focusing on the textile industry since last November for the competitive advantages it holds. The ministry aims to increase the textile exports to $ 6 billion and provide over one million job opportunities.
