CAIRO – 27 June 2019: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX)ended the week in green for the second consecutive session, adding about LE 5.6 billion to market capitalization, amid Egyptian purchases.

The benchmark EGX 30 rose 0.67 percent, or 93.75 points, to close at 14,100.75 points.

The equally weighted index EGX 50 increased 1.46 percent, or 30.26 points, to close at 2,103.45 points.

The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 hiked 0.29 percent, or 1.76 points, to close at 601.8 points, and the broader index EGX 100 inched up 0.40 percent, or 6021 point, to 1,540.64 points.

Market capitalization gained LE 5.6 billion, recording LE 756.11 billion, compared to LE 750.48 billion in Wednesday's session.

The trading volume reached 287.72 million shares, traded through 24,703 transactions, with a turnover of LE 1.11 billion.

Egyptian investors were net buyers at LE 139.01 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers at LE 119.33 million, and LE 19.68 million, respectively.

Egyptian and foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 89.72 million, and LE 14.82 million, respectively, while Arab individuals were net sellers at LE 15.98 million.

Arab and foreign organizations sold at LE 103.35 million and LE 34.5 million, respectively, while Egyptian organizations bought at LE 49.29 million.

Gharbia Islamic Housing Development, Nozha International Hospital, and MM Group For Industry And International Trade were top gainers of the session by 8.06 percent, 6.27 percent and 6.11 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, Alexandria Spinning & Weaving (SPINALEX), Arab Pharmaceuticals, and El-Nile Co. for Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Industries were top losers of the session by 7.50 percent, 6.29 percent, and 5.30 percent, respectively.

EGX ended Wednesday's session in green after witnessing a downtrend continued for seven consecutive sessions, as EGX30 rose 1.27 percent, EGX50 hiked 1.59 percent, EGX70 climbed 0.61 percent, and EGX100 inched up 0.74 percent
