CAIRO – 17 March 2019: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s session on mixed note, and market capitalization gained around LE 1.2 billion, amid Arab buying.

The benchmark EGX30 rose 0.28 percent, or 42.14 points, to close at 15,033.48 points.

The equally weighted index EGX50 increased 0.12 percent, or 2.98 points, to reach 2,456.97 points, and the broader index EGX100 inched up 0.01 percent, or 0.16 point, to 1,771.23 points.

On the other hand, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 declined 0.04 percent, or 0.31 points, to close at 697.67 points.

Market capitalization gained LE 1.2 billion, recording LE 832.47 billion, compared to LE 831.26 billion in Thursday’s session.

The trading volume reached 102.75 million shares, traded through 13,693 transactions, with a turnover of LE 386.82 million.

Arab investors were net buyers at LE 35.36 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers at LE 16.98 million and LE 18.37 million, respectively.

Egyptian and foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 4.59 million, and LE 2.3 million, respectively, while Arab individuals were net buyers at LE 48.42 million.

Egyptian, Arab and foreign organizations sold at LE 12.38 million, LE 13.06 million and LE 16.07 million, respectively.

El Obour Real Estate Investment, National Bank of Kuwait- Egypt- NBK, and Assiut Islamic Trading were top gainers of the session by 8.10 percent, 6.38 percent and 4.71 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, Pyramisa Hotels, Universal for Paper and Packaging Materials (Unipack), and El Nasr For Manufacturing Agricultural Crops were top losers of the session by 7.19 percent, 3 percent, and 2.10 percent, respectively.

EGX ended Thursday’s session in red, as EGX30 decreased 0.89 percent, EGX50 lessened 0.35 percent, EGX70 dipped 0.52 percent, and EGX100 declined 0.50 percent.
