Nasr probes with ITFC support for private sector

CAIRO - 1 March 2019: Minister of Investment and International cooperation Sahar Nasr discussed on Friday with CEO of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) Hany Salem Sonbol efforts to increase ITFC support for the private sector through investment projects contributing to the improvement of citizens' life.

A statement issued by the Ministry on Friday said the minister asserted that her ministry has been working on increasing the volume of direct foreign investments and paving the way for increasing the private sectors investments in Egypt.

The minister praised the role played ITFC to provide basic commodities for citizens through a 3 billion dollar agreement signed last year.

Sonbol, meanwhile, said the total funds offered by his group Egypt till last month reached 8 billion dollars which contributed to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises
