CAIRO – 29 May 2017: Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr reviewed with Head of Finland’s Mission to Egypt Laura Kansikas-Debraise means of promoting economic cooperation between Egypt and Finland.

The two sides agreed on promoting economic cooperation in various fields, especially in education, the Ministry of Investment said in a Monday statement.

Nasr and Kansikas also discussed increasing the amount of Finnish investments in Egypt, in line with the investment law that was recently passed by the Egyptian House of Representatives.

The Egyptian investment law encourages Finnish investors to invest in the Egyptian market, Kansikas said, noting that she is keen to increase the volume of Finnish investments in Egypt within the coming period, particularly in the fields of renewable energy, electricity networks, education and communications.

Meanwhile, Nasr asserted that Egypt is open to Finnish investments, noting that the new investment law includes a number of incentives for investors.
