CAIRO - 8 November 2018: The appointment with the States General of the Green Economy is once more at Ecomondo and Key Energy, from November 6 to 9, 2018, at Rimini Expo Centre. The event is promoted by the National Council of the Green Economy in collaboration with Italy’s Ministry for the Environment and the support of the Foundation for Sustainable Development.

This year, the States General of the Green Economy will be dedicated to the topic of the Green Economy and new employment to boost Italian economy. The seventh edition will be held on November 6 and 7, and will be divided into two plenary sessions and five in-depth thematic and consultation sessions.

On the occasion of the opening plenary session, on November 6, with the participation of the Italian Minister for the Environment, Sergio Costa, there will be a presentation of the 2018 Report on the state of the green economy , in which, as well as an update of the analysis of some strategic sectors and issues of the Italian green economy, a studio will be proposed on some green investment choices and there will be a description of a package of seven priority proposals for the XVIII legislature, drawn up by the National Council for the Green Economy, to launch a more solid extensive development of the Italy’s green economy and green jobs.

The international plenary session on the morning of November 7, from 9:30 am to 1:00 p.m. in Neri Room 1 – South Foyer, will, on the other hand, be dedicated to international networking on The role of companies in the transition to green economy: World trends, and participants will include Italy’s Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Development, Davide Crippa, and authoritative institutional representatives and large national and multinational enterprises.

The thematic in-depth and consultation sessions, which will be held on November 6 and 7, will be dedicated to: Green cities; Electric and shared transport; Transposition of Directives on the circular economy; New Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the National Energy and Climate Plan.
