CAIRO – 5 November 2018: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday’s session in green, amid Egyptian and foreign purchases, and market capitalization added LE 4 billion.

The benchmark EGX30 jumped 0.49 percent, or 64.34 points, to close at 13,234.62 points.

The equally weighted index EGX50 hiked 0.90 percent, or 18.99 points, to reach 2121.35 points.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 rose 0.01 percent, or 0.07 points, reaching 682.09 points, and the broader index EGX100 inched up 0.02 percent, or 0.28 points, closing at 1,711.13 points.

Market capitalization added LE 4.1 billion, recording LE 754.82 billion, compared to LE 750.72 billion in Sunday’s session.

The trading volume reached 319.95 million shares, traded through 29,630 transactions, with a turnover of LE 1.26 billion.

Arab investors were net sellers at LE 32.55 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers at LE 5.38 million and LE 27.17 million, respectively.

Egyptian, Arab and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 712,586, LE 378.41 million and LE 2.74, respectively.

Egyptian, Arab and foreign organizations bought at LE 6.1 million, LE 345.86 million and LE 29.91 million, respectively.

Raya Holding for Financial Investments, Golden Pyramids Giza, and Arab Co. for Asset Management and Development were top gainers of the session by 9.82 percent, 8.48 percent and 8.53 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, Al Arafa for Investment and Consultancies, Suez Canal Company for Technology Setting, and AJWA for Food Industries Company Egypt were top losers of the session by 6.21 percent, 5.43 percent, and 4.31 percent, respectively.

The EGX ended Sunday’s session in a semi-collective regression, as EGX30 decreased 0.24 percent, EGX70 inched down 0.81 percent, EGX100 dropped 0.67 percent, while EGX50 rose 0.03 percent.
