CAIRO - 20 September 2018: Secretary General of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) Alaa Ezz stressed that detailed feasibility studies on establishing logistic centers have been finalized and will be submitted to the cabinet next week.

In statements to MENA on Thursday, Ezz said the feasibility studies include costs of establishing and operating logistic hubs, adding that a timetable will be set in line with priorities.

The studies tackle the volume of consumption and size of population in each governorate, its imports from the neighboring governorates and abroad in addition to its exports and the existing industries, he affirmed.

Ezz further underscored that a logistic hub will be established in each governorate, adding that other centers will be constructed on the borders with Libya and Sudan.

There will be also logistic centers in Jordan, Eurasia and Africa, he reiterated.

A meeting with bodies concerned was held to probe a suggestion on establishing logistic centers within 18 months by the State to uproot bureaucracy of plots of land allocation, Ezz underlined, adding that contracts will be inked with the State to operate these centers or buy them.
