CAIRO - 18 September 2018: Minister of Petroleum Tarek el Mulla said that new oil findings and natural gas fields development will push up petrochemical industries in Egypt.

Addressing the general assembly of the Egyptian Holding Company for Petrochemicals, he added that it will also help attract new investments to this vital sector.

Upgrading the petrochemical industries in Egypt is one of the most important elements of the national projects for turning Egypt into a regional energy hub, he added, in a released statement on Tuesday.

New petrochemical projects are now under implementation at a cost of two billion dollars, he added.
