ISMAILIA, Egypt - 12 September 2018: Head of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Memish announced Wednesday launching a new service by the navigation ocean alliance CMA at West Port Said harbor with the entrance of giant container ship Ocean Alliance CGM Uruguay into the harbor for the first time coming from Turkey and heading for Jeddah.

The container ship's entrance of the harbor came after successful efforts to develop it and deepening circulation circles to reach 16.5 meters, Memish said in a press release.

The ocean alliance includes several navigation lines. The new service includes 10 ships that are going to sail 55 annual voyages, five per month, according to the statement.
