CAIRO – 3 September 2018: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday session on mixed note, and market capitalization lost around LE 784.49 million, amid Arab selling.

The benchmark EGX30 declined 0.19 percent, or 30.44 points, to close at 15,821.92 points, and the small and mid-cap index EGX70 slipped 0.01 percent, or 0.11 points, reaching 751.15 points,

The equally weighted index EGX50 hiked 0.13 percent, or 3.47 points, to reach 2,585.27 points, and the broader index EGX100 inched up 0.22 percent, or 4.20 points, closing at 1,940.61 points.

Market capitalization lost LE 784.49 billion, recording LE 875.14 billion, compared to LE 875.93 billion in Sunday’s session.

The trading volume reached 226.58 million shares, traded through 22,838 transactions, with a turnover of LE 780.79 million.

Cairo Educational Services, Amer Group Holding, and Saudi Egyptian Investment & Finance were top gainers of the session by 9.19 percent, 8.33 percent and 7.89 percent, respectively.

On the other hand, El Kahera Housing, Ismailia National Food Industries, and General Company For Land Reclamation, Development & Reconstruction were top losers of the session by 9.61 percent, 6.88 percent, and 6.78 percent, respectively.

Arab investors were net sellers at LE 18.05 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers at LE 11.18 million and LE 6.86 million, respectively.

Egyptian and Arab individuals were net sellers at LE 34.15 million and LE 12.45 million, respectively, while foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 5.18 million.

Egyptian and foreign organizations bought at LE 45.33 million and LE 1.68 million, respectively, while Arab organizations sold at LE 5.59 million.

EGX ended Sunday’s session on mixed note, as EGX30 declined 0.98 points, EGX50 inched down 0.83 percent, while EGX70 rose 0.52 percent, and EGX100 increased 0.22 percent.
