Petroleum min., WB director discuss oil projects in Egypt

CAIRO - 2 July 2018: Petroleum Minister Tarek el Molla met Monday with Executive Director of the World Bank Group Merza Hassan to discuss oil and gas projects to which the WB is contributing.

The petroleum sector is keen on boosting cooperation with the WB and starting new oil investments, Molla said in a statement.

Hassan, for his part, said he is visiting Egypt to support a project to turn the country into a regional hub for oil and gas trade.

The project is important to secure energy supplies and enhance economic and political relations among countries contributing to it, Hassan added.
