CAIRO - 24 June 2018: The Finance Ministry will participate in three important meetings of the World Customs Organization (WCO) to discuss developments regarding world trade.

Head of the Customs Authority Gamal Abdel Azim led a customs delegation heading for Brussels to attend the 48th regional meeting of the customs cooperation council, a regional meeting of the heads of the customs authorities in North Africa and Near and Middle East and the 79th meeting of the WCO politics committee.

In a statement on Sunday, Finance Minister Mohammed Maait asserted the importance of Egypt's participation in these meetings to boost cooperation with world countries and benefit from the latest developments in the international arena especially concerning efforts exerted to facilitate world trade.

Egypt aims at increasing its participation in global trade and its share in world trade movement in the coming years in light of the government's strategy to push forward the wheel of production and exports, he said.
