CAIRO – 15 March 2018: Edita Food Industries SAE (EFID) announced that it signed a contract with DISLOG GROUP in the Kingdom of Morocco to establish snack food factory in Morocco, according to a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

Edita seeks to reinforce its expansion plans and strengthen its position in the snacks market through the contract.

Edita’s chairman and CEO Hani Berzi said in December that commercial operations will begin in early 2018 with exports of Edita’s products to Morocco, while the second stage will entail the establishment of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in 2019 with an initial investment estimated at around $10 million.

Edita Food Industries SAE is a public company, listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) since December 2014.

Edita operates within the food, beverage and tobacco sector focusing on packaged foods and meats.

It has three subsidiaries operating across Cyprus and Egypt, working on trading companies and distributors, packaged foods and meats and food distributors.

Edita is based in 6th of October, Egypt and was established in July 1996.
