Sisi follows-up on efforts to boost investment

CAIRO – 30 April 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi met Sunday with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and Minster of Investment and International cooperation Sahar Nasr to review efforts exerted by the government to boost investments in Egypt.

Nasr reviewed the steps taken by her ministry in order to encourage investment, referring to the ongoing legislative and legal reforms including the capital market law, companies’ law and a law to regulate the participation of the private sector in infrastructure projects, according to a presidential statement on Sunday.

She also discussed the new transportation law as well as the bankruptcy and investment laws.Nasr added that the ministry is working to set up centers to present electronic services to investors, in a way that will enable them to finalize their procedures in a short time.

She added that these centers will be decentralized and that a hot line will be available to deal directly with investors.
