CAIRO – 24 April 2017: Egyptian Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Sahar Nasr, will present Egypt’s investment map to a group of professional investors in the U.S. Monday, during a roundtable hosted by ABANA, the U.S. organization for finance professionals and institutions with interest in the Middle East and North Africa, and leading investment bank EFG Hermes.

During the roundtable in New York, Nasr is expected to outline the situation of Egyptian investments to representatives of top American firms and institutions, according to a statement released by EFG Hermes.

“We are committed to continue promoting investment in Egypt to our global network of investors,” said Karim Baghdady, CEO of EFG Hermes USA.

Nasr will be tackling the benefits of global funding for public spending in terms of Egypt’s investment map, as well as presenting the goals of the ongoing economic reform program and the vision for new investment incentives in Egypt, the statement said.

The meeting comes to follow up on EFC Hermes’s “Egypt Day in Cairo” in January 2017, during which President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and leading Egyptian figures met with global and regional investors, Baghdady said.

Nasr headed to the U.S. last week as part of a campaign to promote Egyptian investments globally.

On the sidelines of the Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund (IMF) held in Washington this week, Nasr met with James Harmon, chairman of the Egyptian American Enterprise Fund (EAEF) and Vice President and Managing Director of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Yousef bin Ibrahim Al-Bassam.
