CAIRO - 14 December 2017: Chairman of the Egyptian-Japanese Business Council Ibrahim el Araby said Thursday that the council is due to organize a promotional mission in Japan in the coming week, led by Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr.

Egypt’s promotional mission in Japan coincides with resuming EgyptAir’s direct flights between Egypt and Japan, Araby noted.

In statements, Araby said that the visit would include field visits to Japanese industrial zones wishing to transfer their experiences to Egypt in its plan to establish the Suez Canal Economic Zone.

The visit will also comprise round-table meetings among Egyptian and Japanese businessmen, Araby further said.

During the estimated trip, the Egyptian-Japanese business forum will be held at Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) premises with participation of Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry along with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Egyptian embassy in Tokyo, he pointed out.

Preparations for holding the Egyptian-Japanese business forum and organizing the expected visit were underway over the past few months, Araby said, adding that the council was in permanent session with the Japanese side to tackle all needed preparations and agreements expected to be signed during the visit.
