EGX continues profit for 4th consecutive day

CAIRO – 13 December 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended its transactions Wednesday in green for the fourth consecutive day this week.

Benchmark index EGX30 went up 0.42 percent to stand at 14,651 points. The small and mid-cap index EGX70 increased 0.37 percent to end at 791 points and the broader index EGX100 leveled up 0.41 percent to close at 1,872 points.

Market capitalization gained LE 3.5 billion as it recorded LE 816.5 billion, up from LE 813.07 billion at the end of transactions Tuesday.

Egyptian and Arab individuals as well as Arab institutions were net sellers at LE 29.7 million, LE 17.8 million and LE 3.6 million, while Egyptian institutions in addition to foreign individuals and institutions were net buyers at LE 16.95 millon, LE 27.3 million and LE 6.9 million.

Shares of 65 companies recorded increases, while 94 others saw declines, while, shares of 26 firms remained unchanged.
