SHARM EL SHEIKH - 9 December 2017: The COMESA conference in Egypt would give a strong impetus to Egyptian products in African market, Chief of the COMESA Business Council Amany Asfour said in Saturday statement.

In a statement to Nile TV on the fringe of Africa Business Forum, Asfour said COMESA is the biggest economic gathering in Africa, noting that trade volume among COMESA member-states reached 22 billion dollar, while the trade volume with world countries reached 300 billion dollar and with Egypt it hit 2.5 billion dollar.

Responding to a question on the impediments facing the Egyptian products at the African markets, Asfour said one of the problems is shipping ways.

She called on businessmen to attend the African economic forums to get briefed on the needs of the market and improve the investment climate at several African countries.

She also said Egypt will host next year COMESA conference on pharmaceutical industries.
