CAIRO - 8 December 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi stated that Egypt was keen on holding the second session of the Africa 2017 Forum in order to exchange experiences and ideas.

He added that he wanted to work together to facilitate the investment mechanisms and benefit from the massive capabilities of Africa.

Sisi reviewed Egypt's economic reform program currently being implemented. He said that the government is working on a number of national major projects and drawing an investment map for all of the country’s opportunities in different fields.

Egypt also issued the Investment Act and its executive regulation which includes various incentives for investors and broadened guarantees for the domestic and foreign investors; it also encourages the private sector and partnerships between the private sector and public sector.

The law also includes a number of reforms in fiscal and monetary policies.

The second day of the Africa 2017 Forum launched this morning, with a deal between the Attijariwafa Bank and The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) expected.

President Sisi launched the official opening of the forum, along with Alpha Condé, president of the Republic of Guinea, Paul Kagame, president of the Republic of Rwanda and Alassane Ouattara, president of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.
