SHARM EL SHEIKH- 4 December 2017: The COMESA Regional Investment Agency said Monday that 10 heads of state and government will take part in the "Africa 2017" conference to be held in the Egyptian Red Sea resort city of Sharm el Sheikh on December 7-9.

Forty ministers from 24 countries will also attend the event, which will be organized under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The conference will be organized in cooperation with the Egyptian Investment Ministry, said Heba Salama, the head of the Regional Investment Agency, in statements to MENA Monday.

She added that about 1,500 high-ranking representatives and investors from more than 500 African and international companies are expected to attend.

The conference will focus on mechanisms to achieve integration among the African economies, Salama noted.

Participants will also probe means by which to boost inter-African investment and enhance the role played by the private sector to achieve sustainable development, she said.
