CAIRO – 22 November 2017: Prime Minister Sherif Ismail met on Wednesday with an Indian delegation including several large Indian companies working in various industry sectors.

The meeting was also attended by Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone Mohab Mameesh, and Indian Ambassador to Egypt Sanjay Bhattacharyya.

During the meeting, Ismail expressed his wishes to deepen bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries.

Mameesh reviewed the investment opportunities in the Suez Canal Economic Zone. The Indian delegation said it aspires to cooperate with Egypt, particularly in the sectors of textile, manufacturing, means of transportation, locomotives and electronic appliances.

The delegation also added that a number of Indian companies are interestingly looking at the Egyptian market.
