CAIRO – 22 November 2017: The Africa 2017 Forum has been suspended for the time being, the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation said in a statement.
Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr had other urgent work, and a subsequent date will be announced soon, the statement added.
The organizing committee of the Africa 2017 Forum was set to hold a press conference on Thursday to announce details of the Business for Africa Forum, scheduled to take place in December, Nasr said on Wednesday in a statement.
Nasr added that the forum will begin with Young Entrepreneurs Day, which will gather entrepreneurs, start-ups, mentors, angel investors and venture capital firms to share ideas and communicate.
The Africa 2017 Forum is held under the patronage of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi from December 7-9 in Sharm El-Sheikh.
The forum is organized by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation and the COMESA Regional Investment Agency (RIA).
The forum will bring together high-level delegations of leaders from both business and politics across the continent, including heads of state and major CEOs.
