CAIRO – 1 November 2017: A delegation of Danish companies will visit Egypt before the end of 2017 to review investment opportunities and participate in new projects, Denmark’s Ambassador in Cairo Susanne Shine announced Wednesday.

In a meeting with Minister of Investment Sahar Nasr, Shine stated the visit will witness the signing of a financial grant from Denmark for wind plants.

Shine said that Egypt’s investment climate has improved, confirming its support to the government’s reform program, a statement from the Ministry reported.

The minister welcomed the desire of Danish companies to expand their investment in the country, stressing that the government will ease all procedures for foreign companies.

Denmark comes 34th in the list of countries investing in Egypt, with 149 companies operating in the country.

Some of Denmark’s companies operating in the Egyptian market include Maersk, Novo Nordisk, Grundfos, DSV, Coloplast, Aalborg Portland Sinai White Cement (SWC), Guardian Security, Aller Aqua, Orana, NL Supervision, Cross Workers, Domiatec, Cimbria, Nourco (Per Aarsleff A/S), and FLSmidth.
