Cairo – October 27: The French ambassador in Cairo, Stéphane Romatet, said that a delegation of French companies will visit Egypt in November, under the auspices of the French Business Confederation, MEDEF International, MENA reported Friday.

The French Minister of Economy and Finance, Bruno Le Maire, will head another delegation of French companies to Egypt next spring. This meeting will discuss the expansion of economic cooperation and trade between the two countries, Romatet added.




The French ambassador said French President Emmanuel Macron assured that France stands by Egypt in fighting terrorism and supporting economic reforms.

During his four-day visit to France which ended on Thursday, Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi met with President Emmanuel Macron as well as the speaker of the French National Assembly and the ministers of foreign affairs, defense, interior, finance and economy.

The president also met with heads of major French companies.

The two countries signed 16 agreements and memorandums of understanding to boost cooperation in various domains, the State Information Service reported on Thursday.
