HURGHADA - 12 Aug 2017: A total of LE 431million was earmarked for projects of developing shanty towns in Red Sea governorate.

The projects include establishing new residential areas instead of the dangerous ones, Red Sea governorate Consultant Engineer Diaa Ibrahim said on Saturday.

Addressing the second youth conference of the Red Sea governorate, Ibrahim said that the projects include constructing 36 residential properties at a cost of LE 204 million in Hurghada.

Ahead of the project, as many as 250 houses had been built in Hurghada in view of people's needs , Ibrahim added.

With a total cost of LE 152 million, 512 houses and two buildings have been constructed as alternatives to slums in Ras Gharib, he noted.
