Constructions operations in public sectors up 16.3%: CAPMAS

CAIRO - 24 July 2017: Public/public business sector companies operations volume recorded LE 23.9 billion in fiscal year 2015/2016, while it has reached LE 20.6 billion ($1.1 billion) in FY2014/15 in an increase rate of 16.3 percent, Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) announced on Monday.

In its annual statistical bulletin of building and construction for public/public business sector companies in FY2015/16, CAPMAS showed that the total value of implemented residential buildings reached LE2.5 pounds in FY2015/16 versus LE 2.4 billion in FY2014/15, in an increase rate of 5.7 percent.

The total value of health buildings reached LE 302.0 million in FY2015/16 versus LE 306.0 million in FY2014/15, with decrease rate of 1.2 percent, according to the bulletin.

On the other hand, the total value of educational buildings reached LE 533.0 million in FY2015/16 versus LE 389.0 million in FY2014/15, in an increase of 37percent, while the total value of roads, bridges and tunnels reached LE 8.7 billion in FY2015/16 versus LE 7.8 billion in FY2014/15, with an increase rate of 12.4 percent.

Otherwise, The total value of water stations, networks reached LE 3.3 billion in FY2015/16, versus LE 2.9 billion in FY2014/15, with an increase rate of 14.2percent, while the total value of implemented sewage plants and sewer systems reached LE 4.9 billion in FY2015/16 versus LE 3.6 billion in 2014/2015, with an increase rate of 34.9 percent.
