CAIRO – 15 July 2017: Foreign direct investment in Egypt rose by 12 percent in the first nine months of the fiscal year 2016/17 fiscal year to $6.6 billion compared to $5.9 billion in the same period a year earlier, the Investment Ministry said on Saturday.

Egypt's fiscal year starts on July 1 and ends in June 30. The $6.6 billion figure covers the months from July 2016 to March 2017, an Investment Ministry statement showed.
