CAIRO - 7 July 2017: Housing Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with officials from international schools on Wednesday to discuss plans of constructing new schools in the residential district of the New Administrative Capital.

The residential district within the new capital is expected to include 25,000 residential units and eight international schools, according to a released statement by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Communities.

The lands assigned for the new project will range in floor plan sizes. The Housing Ministry will be cooperating with the Education Ministry to decide on the building structure of the schools.

Madbouly announced that facilitations in the payment process of the lands will be offered to investors. The minister also encouraged investors to partner with officials from the international schools in the joint construction project in return for receiving lands.

He further confirmed that the residential district will be finalized by the end of 2018, emphasizing the importance of constructing schools in the district to serve residents.
The newly anticipated administrative capital is expected to include government institutions and Parliament, along with an established transportation network.
